We were happy to help patisserie chef Shaheen Peerbhai, and her husband Arjun – who run the Miel Bakery – get set up when Covid lockdowns meant they needed a way to bring their bakery to their customers.

Delivery was new to just about everyone back in March 2020, and Miel was no exception.

Gophr work with lots of different bakeries across the UK, so we helped them to set up their service from scratch, giving the bakery hands on support to navigate unexpected challenges. Gifts, for example, needed a bit of thought for Miel – people receiving gifts that were surprises initially made them suspicious. It was important that the drivers could communicate well with customers, and be friendly and approachable. 

Today we deliver for Miel bakeries on demand and pre-scheduled – helping with everything from wholesaler distribution routes to on demand direct deliveries.

Gophr’s deliveries aren’t just about getting things where they’re supposed to be (although we’re pretty good at that ;)).

We supported Miel Bakery to pivot to being a bakery that delivered, at a crucial time.

Now with delivery taken care of, their bakery business has expanded for good and we are still helping them connect to their customers through great delivery.
